|The closing conference of the Interreg IVC MiSRaR project will be organized on the 25th of October 2012 in the municipality of Dordrecht, the Netherlands. We anticipate on over 45 participants from the seven participating countries during the meeting.
MiSRaR (Mitigating Spatial Relevant Risks in European Regions and Towns) started in the spring of 2010. During the past 2 ½ years, the seven partners exchanged and shared their knowledge and experiences in the field of risk assessment and – management, related to spatial relevant risks.
During the sixteen organized thematic seminars each consecutive step required to come from an initial risk assessment to a successfully implemented mitigation measure were discussed. The results have been brought together in three brochures and an overall mitigation handbook.
During the closing conference, each project partner will present a different aspect of the projects content and will highlight the added value of MiSRaR for their spatial mitigation practices. Also the MiSRaR spatial mitigation handbook will be officially presented and discussed. The handbook has been written in English, but will be made available in the project partners languages in the upcoming months. All versions of the handbook and the brochures will be available on the MiSRaR website before the end of this year together with the 28 identified best practices (in English).
